Handpicked to serve; that’s what we should think of ourselves as teachers.
Assuming a life span is 70 years, which day of the week would you be in? Time is kronos and also kairos. If you live as a Christian think of it as 3 days. Yesterday Jesus died, today He rose again and tomorrow He’s coming again. Live as if Christ died yesterday. Colossians 4:5 … use every kairos moment. Ephesians 5:16… make the most of time because the days are evil. While time is kronos, we need to make ...

We had our first MW Meeting on 25th January night, at Ah Ho’s place. Tis the first meeting since the change of guard for the MW. The attendance was really encouraging. We had 26 ladies who showed up; 3 of whom were friends. A good start. The meeting started off with a short time of singspiration led by Julie, followed by a short time for sharing. Michelle gave thanks that God has always seen to her needs where food is concerned.
Then it was time to get down to business. Ah ...

By Sarah Yong
This year, the MYF Christmas party was definitely one to be remembered. It was an evangelical event and we saw God’s grace and faithfulness in action as an astounding number of youth came to join us as we celebrated Christmas. An estimated 160 youths turned up, exceeding the targeted 150!

The party started with a meaningful time of worship led by Timothy and his team. They ushered in a spirit of joy as we sang some worship songs and Christmas carols. After worship, a group of MYFers presented ...

The Chinese Christmas Service was held on 26 December. It was well-attended. There were 100 people (more than the 80 targetted). Peh Lan and Joanne sang a duet while 6 MYF girls performed a tambourine dance. The invited speaker was Pastor David Ling from the Chinese Methodist Church. God is good. We pray that the Chinese-speaking congregation will continue to grow in size and in faith.

Baptism was followed by reception of new WMCAS church members. All those just baptized(except Jonathan Chang who is too young) and 5 others were received as members of WMCAS.
Afterwards all of us enjoyed the refreshments.

This is one of the visits organized by the Social Concerns Ministry of our church.

I attended the Church School Christmas Party a little late. I was surprised to see so many children attending this party! A rough estimate of those who attended would be about 110 kids (excluding the adults, youth and parents).
The order of programmes – first was a little time of worship followed by a presentation done by the regular church school kids. Then Aunty Peh Lan gave a talk. We then had a “magic” show done by Aunty Daisy. It was quite fun for the kids.
After the show, all the kids ...

(卫理幼儿园毕业典礼暨恳亲日)
Leong Say Tong Association Hall was a hive of activity from as early as 8.00 a.m. in the morning of 14th November 2009. It was Methodist Kindergarten Graduation and Prize-giving Day. Teachers, excited children and many proud parents (and grandparents, uncles, aunties, brothers, sisters and cousins) had gathered in the hall even though the Graduation ceremony was due to begin only at 10.00am.
Dressing-up… making-up…sitting down…standing-up…lining-up……. this was really the ‘happening’ place.
The graduation ceremony proceeded without a hitch. The young graduates confidently walked up to receive their scrolls from their Headmistress.
