WMCAS Chinese Service Is One Year Old

24th October, 2009 marks a milestone of the Chinese Service and also serves as a reminder of God’s grace and mercy for us. Church attendance has grown from the initial 10+ to 30+ in this past year.
Peh Lan started the ball rolling by welcoming everyone. Turnout was very encouraging as friends and visitors also came to lend their encouragement and support. Attendance stood at 99, the most ever so far since the inception.
Then it was worship time, led by Joseph. Pak Khor gave a short sharing on why this ministry …

3rd Medical Outreach

Saturday, 24th October 2009  was the date of our 3rd Medical Outreach. Originally it was scheduled much earlier but the outbreak of H1N1 put it on hold. This time around, our focus was on The Prevention of Osteoporosis.
By the time we got to the church just before 2 p.m., a small crowd had already registered and more were trickling in. God is good. The trickle soon became a steady flow of people from all walks of life. By 2.15 p.m. most of the seats in the hall upstairs had been …

Baptism

Today, 5 people got baptized at the church. The last baptism was about 10 months ago where 11 got baptized.
We rejoiced with these brothers and sisters who have made a commitment of their faith and we pray for God’s guidance as they walk with Him.
Tim and Julia conducted the Baptism Service. Tim gave a sermon based on Romans 6:1-4.
Almost 20 of our church members attended the service. We praise and thank God for these who have chosen to put their faith in God.

RunNat 09: Our Sole Torch Bearer

I remembered that the RunNat was supposed to be on this week. But I couldn’t remember if we had been promoting it in church after the 1st time when it was announced during service some weeks back.
Many of us had forgotten about it due to the lack of reminders and also push, I guess. Thanks to FaceBook, I managed to find out from Emily that Daniel was running in it and he was going to start off from the Stadium.
So, we went there this morning. Turned out he was church’s …
