Church School Christmas Party

20 December 2009 2 Comments

I attended the Church School Christmas Party a little late. I was surprised to see so many children attending this party! A rough estimate of those who attended would be about 110 kids (excluding the adults, youth and parents).

The order of programmes – first was a little time of worship followed by a presentation done by the regular church school kids. Then Aunty Peh Lan gave a talk. We then had a “magic” show done by Aunty Daisy. It was quite fun for the kids.

After the show, all the kids were escorted upstairs to have some food. My overall comment is when the kids were having their food, it was really very noisy. Some of the bigger kids were around to help out with the dishing out of the food as well as the presents. I suppose kids can’t keep still for too long. Each kid was given a Christmas present.

After the refreshments, the kids were then led back downstairs where they received presents and balloons. It was really nice to see so many kids at the Christmas party and this is by far the biggest attendance since we moved to the new place. 8) Kudos to all those who make this happen.

I am still dazzled by the magic trick done by Sister Daisy with the Coke bottle and handphone. Still blurrrrrrrrrrr.

Thank you for the write up on the Church School Christmas Party held on the Friday 18th Dec.2009.We had quite a big turn out for the event.Dare not imagine how much my telephone bill is going to come up to at the end of the month.I called up each and every child registered in the Church School registration book to remind them to come on that day!So now you know the force behind it.
The Nativity drama that was staged was prepared in less than a week before but nevertheless all the kids did their best and were able to put up a reasonably good act.PTL!Kids will always be kids, they will always be noisy where ever and whatever. It does not matter as long as they have a chance to hear the Gospel proclaimed to them at their tender age.
Let us hope that they will have the desire to want to come to our Church School Friday after Friday. We need your prayers and support for the Church School.Thank you and God Bless.
